Currach Row; Inis Óirr to Galway

Along side one of my oldest friends, Gussy Farrell, we rowed a traditional Currach from the smallest Aran Island, Inis Oirr, 26 miles to Galway city to launch Project EMPOWER, our 2022 trans-Atlantic row from New York to Galway. This traditional voyage symbolised what will be the last, triumphant leg of that Atlantic crossing in 2022, while promoting and respecting the seafaring heritage of Irish coastal communities.
